Orthopaedic Injections and Regenerative Treatments

Joint injections and regenerative treatments are used to reduce pain and support function, especially in early and moderate arthritis and tendon problems.

The level of scientific evidence differs for each method. In this section we explain clearly what PRP, hyaluronic acid, stem cell and exosome treatments do, their limits and who they suit.

  1. PRP Treatment PRP is plasma rich in growth factors, prepared from the patient's own blood and injected into the problem area. It is a supportive treatment for tendon problems and early arthritis.
  2. Stem Cell Treatment Cells obtained from the patient's own bone marrow or fat tissue are applied to a joint or tendon. It is a supportive option in selected patients.
  3. Exosome Treatment Exosomes are tiny vesicles released by cells that carry signals between tissues. Their use in orthopaedics is still being researched, and expectations should reflect that.
  4. Hyaluronic Acid Injection (Viscosupplementation) Hyaluronic acid, sometimes called "liquid prosthesis" in Türkiye, is an injection that supports the lubricating quality of joint fluid. It can ease pain in early and moderate arthritis.
